#245 Honey Nut Peanut Butter French Toast (by Wattyz)
My friend Dave posted a recipe online for peanut butter french toast yesterday. I used honey nut peanut butter, drizzled some warmed peanut butter on top, sprinkled chopped honey roasted peanuts on top, as well as a little shot of whipped cream.

#242 Bella’s Cheesy Breadsticks (by JoeFoodie)
Most pizza places sell breadsticks, but Bella’s breadsticks are special.
Made with Dinoto’s excellent pizza dough topped with butter, parmesan, herbs, and bubbly mozzarella. These would go perfect with a salad, minestrone soup, or another order of breadsticks.  Oh, the pizza is great, too.
From Dinoto’s in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI.

#241 Homemade Waffle (by JoeFoodie)
Breakfast for dinner this evening consisted waffles topped with cherries, raspberries, blackberries, & blueberries cooked with raw, local honey. I added medium grind cornmeal to the waffles for added crunch.

Doesn’t get more classic than chocolate chip cookies.  A glass of ice cold milk would be a wonderful companion.
These beauties were being offered at Arts Du Jour by Pronto Restaurant.

Arts du Jour, the charity preview for Labor day weekend’s Arts, Beats, and Eats, happened last night at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market.  Hundreds of people experienced the food of close to 50 Detroit area restaurants and food purveyors.  Live entertainment provided additional ambiance to an already special evening.

365 Days of Food#238 Strawberry & Banana French Toast (by Wattyz)
My husband Cameron asked me to come home early from a month long trip to Bangkok, Thailand because I was in a ‘hot zone.’ (riots and protesting) “Come home early, I promise you can sleep as long as you want, and I’ll make you strawberry french toast in the morning, with Kings Hawaiian Bread.”
I came home two weeks early. The first night home, I slept 11 hours and woke up to this breakfast that he made with the kids. :)
Strawberry and banana french toast, made with King’s Hawaiian bread and topped with whipped cream and toasted walnuts, with a side of bacon.
